Metallica kicked off a new online series of shows titled Offstage With DWP , which will feature previously unreleased recordings of festival sets, interviews, acoustic performances, and more.
The new track debuted on the same day as a set by the band at the Rock on the Range festival in 2017 in Ohio, United States. You can watch the performance below.
According to a press release, Offstage With DWP , produced by Danny Wimmer Presents , will feature the Foo Fighters 2019 Sonic Temple set, interviews with Papa Roach , Shinedown , and The Pretty Reckless , and new acoustic performances by Rise Against and Halestorm , among other content.
The idea of combining these performances into a series came from the cancellations of festivals like Louder Than Life, Sonic Temple, Epicenter, and Welcome to Rockville. All of them are produced by Danny Wimmer Presents and would have featured Metallica in their lineup.
