Metallica kicked off their M72 World at the Johan Cruijff Arena in Amsterdam, Netherlands, last Thursday, the 27th. The tour is part of the promotion for their recently released album, 72 Seasons.
The tour will last two years and features metal icons playing two nights in each city with different setlists.
On their first night in Amsterdam, the group played three songs from 72 Seasons : “Lux Æterna,” “Screaming Suicide,” and “Sleepwalk My Life Away.”
In the 16-song set, the band played three songs from each classic album: Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets , and the self-titled album known as The Black Album . The remaining albums were played with only one song each.
