Metallica fan investigated the band's discography in search of the word most used by them in their lyrics, and the result wasn't "yeah," as you might have imagined.
According to Loudwire , Reddit user created a chart with all the lyrics of Metallica songs in an attempt to discover the word most often sung by James Hetfield . The result showed that the word is "never," which was used 146 times.
Besides "Through the Never," some of the songs that have the word in their lyrics are "Enter Sandman," "The Day That Never Comes," "The Unforgiven," and "Nothing Else Matters."
Other words they frequently use include "one," "see," "away," "take," and "life." Hetfield's famous "yeah" appears 68 times in the group's discography, ranking 12th. See the full chart below.
