Band plays for the third time in a row
Rock in Rio, which will take place on September 18, 19, 20, 24, 25, 26 and 27, 2015, has announced Metallica as the latest confirmed artist in its lineup. The band will perform on the Palco Mundo stage, where Slipknot, Faith No More, Queens of the Stone Age, System of a Down and other rock groups will also perform.
The band has already confirmed the announcement on their official Facebook page, where they wrote: “Brazil! See you in September to celebrate 30 years of Rock In Rio” .
Metallica will be performing at the Rio festival for the third consecutive time, having played at the 2011 and 2013 editions. Other confirmed acts include Katy Perry, A-Ha, Hollywood Vampires, and John Legend.
