Last Thursday, March 30th, Classic Rock published its first impressions of Metallica , 72 Seasons , stating that the project is heavy and intense. Fans can confirm this review on April 14th, the official release date.

Opinions have already been formed on the title track , " If Darkness Had a Son ," " Screaming Suicide, " and " Lux Æterna ." But what about the remaining eight?

"The 11th studio album will not disappoint anyone, except the most die-hard fan. The work is intense and heavy for practically every second of its 77 minutes. It's not easy to listen to," wrote the magazine (via Loudwire ).

James Hetfield 's "dark and tormented" lyrics , influenced by the turmoil of his personal life, were responsible for this profound intensity.

Furthermore, the new album fits perfectly with its predecessors Death Magnetic (2008) and Hardwired… To Self-Destruct (2016).

72 Seasons doesn't have any ballads and "even the great melodies are scarce." Classic Rock chose the last song, "Inamorata," as the best and finished its review of the project with a score of 8 out of 10. Now all that's left is to wait anxiously for April 14th.
