Metallica releases live EP 'The Amsterdam Sessions'; find out how to listen.

The band also released a video for the new version of “If Darkness Had a Son”.

Last Wednesday, the 14th, Metallica surprised fans with the release of the EP The Amsterdam Sessions , available exclusively via Amazon Music .

The EP consists of four songs recorded live in the studio during Metallica's stay in Amsterdam, where they began the M72 World Tour .

The four tracks in question – “Lux Æterna,” “Master of Puppets,” “If Darkness Had a Son,” and “Nothing Else Matters” – were recorded on April 18th at Ready Set Studios by producer Greg Fidelman and sound engineer Jason Gossman .

Last Thursday, the 15th, Brazilian Metallica fans received a reason to be excited. According to journalist José Norberto Flesch , the band is expected to come to Brazil between October and November 2024 , probably with the tour for the album 72 Seasons .
