"We would like to encourage everyone who joins us to help those in need," the band wrote about the victims of the fires
Metallica has revealed that they are donating $100,000 from their own charity. The goal is to help victims of the devastation in California. This year, the state suffered some of the worst wildfires in history.
While devastation continues across California, stars including Dave Grohl and Lady Gaga have done what they can to help. Aid in the form of food and supplies has been given to both the victims and the fire crews trying to control the blaze.
Metallica has now confirmed that they are donating $50,000 to two organizations that are providing aid and supplies to the victims. The announcement was made in a social media post by the All Within My Hands Foundation.
“Unfortunately, once again communities in California are experiencing historic devastation from wildfires. All Within My Hands has donated $50,000 to the North Valley Community Foundation and the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation. Both agencies provide services to victims from evacuation centers to other necessary assistance. We encourage everyone to join us in helping those in need and our first responders. You can help in any way you can: by donating money, non-perishable food, clothing, and other supplies; by volunteering your time; or by offering temporary shelter. Every little bit helps.”
