The group played in the Romanian capital and raised some of the money to help the city

Metallica donated 250,000 euros, approximately R$ 1,100,000, to Daruieste Viata, a Romanian association that is building the country's first pediatric oncology hospital .

The band met with the organization's director last Wednesday, the 14th, before their Worldwired Tour performance in Bucharest. The donation was made through the NGO created by Metallica, All Within My Hands.

According to the organization's website, a portion of all the money raised during the tour is donated to local organizations that support communities in need. Learn more here.
