Metallica 's All Within My Hands Foundation has donated $100,000 to support families affected by Hurricane Milton, which hit coastal areas of Florida in early October.

In a statement published on X , formerly Twitter, the band lamented the tragedy and announced a donation to two humanitarian organizations: the food bank Feeding America and the Information Technology Disaster Resource Center (ITDRC), an organization that provides free emergency technology and communication services to communities in crisis .

“Just days after Hurricane Helene devastated western Florida, Milton caused further damage to the region. […] It is a devastating catastrophe, with 23 lives lost and a number yet to be tallied. […] Our All Within My Hands Foundation is donating $50,000 each to the incredible people at Feeding America and ITDRC to support their recovery efforts [from the damage caused by the hurricane],” they wrote.

With the recent passage of Hurricanes Helene and Milton, the activities carried out by food banks, as well as meal preparation, water supply, and emergency supplies, were affected. Therefore, there is an urgent need to restore technology and communication infrastructure to ensure public safety and access to information for affected families.

All Within My Hands Foundation

Created by Metallica in 2017, the non-profit foundation, AWMH, invests in organizations that align with the mission defined by the quartet. Since then, the band has donated a portion of ticket sales to communities in each city where the M72 takes place.

It is important to highlight that all expenses for the solidarity project are covered by the band, the board of directors, and friends, ensuring that 100% of the donations go to the organizations it supports.
