Metallica , either as part of the soundtrack or as guest actors. Here, we'll revisit the scene from the fourth episode of the first season of the series Breakthrough where two characters play a cover of the hit "Enter Sandman." Warning: contains spoilers.

The scene takes place at the funeral of Petey, an employee of Lumon Industries , who works on a procedure called "separation," which involves separating people's personal and professional memories.

Petey tried to undo the process and ended up dying as a consequence. During the wake, a video is shown of him playing a cover of "Enter Sandman" with his daughter June, illustrating the duality between the character's professional and personal lives, thus humanizing him.

The choice of music was not accidental; it is thematically cohesive with the messages of the series, speaking about loss of control and the threshold between dream and reality, which fits Petey's existential dilemma.

The second season of the series will premiere on January 17th and will be available to watch on both Prime Video and Apple TV+.

Motörhead in Rupture

Another major band gained prominence in the series. In this case, it was Motörhead with the classic "Ace Of Spades." The song plays in the last two episodes of the series where the character Irving is painting a picture.
