The fourth edition of the Helping Hands Concert & Auction took place on December 13th at the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles. During the show, Metallica performed two sets, one acoustic and one electric, featuring guest appearances by Sammy Hagar , Michael Anthony , Joe Satriani , Jeff Ament , and SistaStrings .

The benefit concerts began in 2018 and take place every two years. The goal is to raise funds for the band's NGO, All Within My Hands , which is dedicated to assisting charities in the areas of education, combating hunger, and other critical needs.

For the acoustic set, Metallica was joined by musicians Avi Vinocur (multi-instrumentalist) and Henry Salvia (pianist), as well as the duo SistaStrings. The musical choices were surprising, starting with "Low Man's Lyric , Reload album tour in 1998.

Also included were covers of songs by Diamond Head and Bachman-Turner Overdrive , marking the first time Metallica played "Away From Home." Versions of "If Darkness Had a Son" and "Nothing Else Matters" concluded this part of the concert.

The electric set featured the group's best-known songs, but also included an unusual choice: "The Unforgiven II," which hadn't been played since 2015. Another highlight was "Hit The Lights," which featured Pearl Jam Jeff Ament.

The show will be published on the band's YouTube channel on December 19th, and the complete setlist can be found below (via setlist.fm ):

Throughout the day, I'm accompanied by a soundtrack, preferably composed of rock and metal (in its numerous subgenres). Reading about music is one of my favorite pastimes, and being able to write about it is a rewarding exercise. I have a degree in Multimedia Production from the Belas Artes University Center.
