Metallica announces live stream of concert to celebrate 40 years as a band.

The broadcast will be live from San Francisco and will be free.

Metallica has announced a partnership with Coda Collection of their concerts scheduled for December 17th and 19th at the Chase Center in San Francisco, United States.

In-person tickets for the performances were made available only to members of the band's fan club, but fans worldwide will be able to watch the performances via Amazon Music or on Amazon Music's Twitch and Amazon Prime Video channels.

According to Coda Collection, this broadcast is the first of many new releases featuring Metallica. The company says plans include concert films, documentaries, and other bonus content.
