Metallica: 'Helping Hands' benefit concert will be streamed online in 2022

The event takes place on December 16th and raises funds for the band's charitable foundation

In 2022, Metallica will conclude their tour for the third year with the Helping Hands , which will also include an auction. The event, which celebrates achievements and raises funds for the All Within My Hands , will be streamed for the first time via Paramount+ , Pluto TV , and YouTube .

The annual 2022 show will take place on December 16th at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, and will be accompanied by a charity auction, with Greta Van Fleet as the opening act and Jimmy Kimmel as the event's host. In an official statement, Metallica promised "other surprises" before their performance.

All Within My Hands Foundation was created by Metallica in 2017 and is dedicated to "combating food insecurity, providing funds for natural disaster areas, and supporting education with the innovative Metallica Scholars program, which is now in its fourth year," according to the press release.

The Helping Hands begins at 10:30 PM Brasília time (5:30 PM PT). For those who wish to attend the ceremony in person in Los Angeles, tickets are available for purchase on the Microsoft Theater website.
