The San Francisco Giants is the baseball team of the members of Metallica

In what has become a tradition for the San Francisco Giants, Metallica played the United States national anthem before the baseball game. This was the seventh annual "Metallica Day."

The entire band was at the sold-out game against the New York Yankees. Guitarists James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett played "The Star-Spangled Banner," and drummer Lars Ulrich threw out the first pitch. The band also announced the starting lineups for the teams.
