Metallica announces debut at Sphere in Las Vegas

With the announcement, they become the first metal band to perform a series of shows at the venue

After months of speculation , Metallica confirmed their debut at the Sphere in Las Vegas with the Life Burns Faster residency. The season will feature eight performances, scheduled for October 1st and 3rd, 15th and 17th, 22nd and 24th, 29th and 31st. The format will follow the No Repeat Weekend concept, M72 world tour , with no repetition of songs between the Thursday and Saturday shows.

The residency continues the successful phase of the M72 World Tour , which began in 2023, has already brought together more than 4 million fans on different continents, and has consolidated the production as one of the most praised in the group's career.

Lars Ulrich , co-founder and drummer of Metallica , commented: “About 12 seconds into the opening night of Sphere with U2 in 2023, I thought, ‘We have to do this, it’s completely uncharted territory!’ This residency gives us another opportunity to reinvent how we interact with our fans live. We are extremely excited to share this with the world in six months and very eager to take it to another level!”

At Sphere, the band promises a setlist spanning different phases of their catalog, combined with the arena's immersive technological resources. The venue boasts the world's largest high-resolution LED screen, an immersive sound system, and 4D multisensory technology, offering an unprecedented experience even for those who have already seen Metallica in stadiums, arenas, or on the 360° stage of their current tour.
