Metallica is celebrating the 30th anniversary of their self-titled fifth album , The Black Album , with two releases, both on September 10th, through the band's own label, Blackened Recordings.

The Black Album , one of the band's most iconic albums, will now receive a complete remaster, along with a tribute album titled The Metallica Blacklist . More than 50 artists will interpret the songs from the album, each contributing their unique take on the subject.

The Metallica Blacklist features 53 singers, country, electronic, and hip-hop artists sharing their love for these genres alongside punk rockers, indie artists, rock icons, metal musicians, world music artists, and more. The project will also split the proceeds from each sale, download, or stream equally between the artist's chosen charities and Metallica All Within My Hands Foundation .

To celebrate the announcement, the group released a cover version of "Nothing Else Matters" by Miley Cyrus, Elton John, WATT, Yo-Yo Ma, and Chad Smith , featuring Robert Trujillo . Listen below. The group also released a remastered version of "Enter Sandman" and two live versions of the track.

The remastered version of Black Album will be available in digital and physical formats, including vinyl, CD, double LP, and DVD, all accompanied by a 120-page book featuring previously unreleased photos and stories from the album.
