Metallica will celebrate the release of their new album, 72 Seasons , which will be released on April 14th, with a residency on Jimmy Kimmel ! The residency will take place over four nights next week.

“For the first time on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, it’s ‘Metallica Week,’ as we’ll be the musical guests every night, starting Monday, April 10th, through Thursday, April 13th,” Metallica wrote in a social media post. “We’ll be playing live at all four shows, and you’ll also catch us on the couch chatting with Jimmy one night. Keep an eye out for other appearances during the broadcast, as we really don’t know what else Jimmy has in store for us!”

The last time the group appeared on the show was in 2021 when they were promoting the commemorative version of the Black Album. More recently, Kimmel hosted the Metallica Foundation's benefit concert, All Within My Hands, in December.

Jimmy Kimmel Live! is in its 23rd season, making it the longest-running late-night show to date.
