Metallica is preparing many new things to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the release of their self-titled album, better known as The Black Album . The group will release a complete remaster of the album on September 1st, which will include unreleased tracks and demos , as well as a new version of the album with tracks performed by more than 50 artists.
Now, the group has announced that they will also release a photography book titled The Black Album in Black & White , which will be released on October 19th. The book features some classic images and others that are previously unpublished. Presentations by photographer Ross Halfin and band members promise to bring incredible details from the time, production, and promotion of the Black Album.
“When the music and the recording were coming together, the level of confidence was high, and we felt better than ever about who we were and how we saw ourselves in terms of photography,” wrote drummer Lars Ulrich in the book, which is already available for pre-order at this link.
