Metallica and Lemmy play together backstage; watch the video.

A historic meeting between music legends resulted in a performance of "Damage Case" and "Too Late Too Late".

Nothing beats witnessing the meeting of great music legends to make us happy, right? And that's exactly what the video of Metallica and Lemmy playing backstage at a show in Nashville in 2009 does to the heart of any headbanger around the world.

With a friendly “Hey, you sons of bitches?”, Lemmy enters the room and is greeted by James Hetfield with a “Hello, sir”. Together, they play the Motorhead , “Damage Case” and “Too Late Too Late”.

At the end of the two redemptions, the burning question is asked by Hetfield, "Are we hired?". The question results in a hilarious response from Lemmy, who states, "Yeah, I think so. You gotta get rid of the drummer, though," referring to Lars Ulrich , who protests, claiming he's been trying to leave Metallica for 25 years!
