Metallica has released an alternate version of "Nothing Else Matters," which will be part of the 30th-anniversary celebration of the Black Album . The version, recorded in July 1991, will be included on the Rough & Alternate Mixes , to be released on September 10th along with the remastered album.

The new release will arrive alongside a tribute album , The Metallica Blacklist . More than 50 artists will perform the songs from the album, each contributing their unique take. The Metallica Blacklist brings together 53 singers, country, electronic and hip-hop artists sharing their love for these songs alongside punk rockers, indie artists, rock icons, metal artists, world music artists and more.
