Metallica released their new single "72 Seasons" this Wednesday, the 30th, accompanied by a music video over 8 minutes long that premiered on YouTube .
The track is also the title track of the band's new album , which will be released on April 14th. Prior to the new single, the songs " Screaming Suicide " and " If Darkness Had a Son " were also released.
72 Seasons is Metallica's 11th studio album and is highly anticipated by fans. Recently, Rob Trujillo revealed that he lent his vocals to the track "You Must Burn!" , marking the first time he has sung on a Metallica song since joining the band 20 years ago.
“For the first time in my life, I get to sing on a Metallica album and support James [ Hetfield ]. I’m very proud of that,” commented the bassist.
