June is truly a very busy month. In addition to celebrating Valentine's Day and LGBTQIA+ Pride, it's also the month of one of the most beloved celebrations in Brazil: the June festivals.

With this in mind, singer and comedian Bruno Sutter released a new album featuring his character Detonator , which includes traditional June festival songs in a heavy metal version. Classics like "Cai Cai Balão" and "Pula Fogueira" have become "Cai Cai Balão de Metal" and "Pula Fogueira de Metal".

“I was born on Saint Anthony’s Day, June 13th, and was baptized in the parish with the same name. So I often celebrated my birthday during the festivities of that day,” says Sutter. “These songs have always been part of our culture. I thought it would be a very cool tribute and, at the same time, a way to entertain myself and everyone else during these difficult times.”

Produced entirely by Bruno Sutter, the album Arraiá de Metal features 10 tracks and is available on all streaming platforms. In a statement, the singer reports that his greatest difficulty was transposing the accordion's melodic lines to the guitar: “Since I'm not a professional guitarist, it was a bigger challenge. The accordion's melodic lines are very rich. Analyzing the songs more deeply, my admiration for the songs and composers from the countryside increased even more!”
