Metal music is growing globally in live events, with a 14% increase projected for 2025.

Metal is "breaking out of the mainstream," according to Live Nation.

Good news for the metal world: live events are projected to increase by 14% in 2025, according to the production company Live Nation .

"Heavy rock and metal are bigger than ever in live music," Live Nation on its official Instagram .

Currently, almost 13% of shows held in stadiums and arenas are metal, thus "breaking the mainstream".

Bring Me the Horizon , Bad Omens , Pierce the Veil , Sleep Token , Ghost , Turnstile , and Falling in Reverse are listed as bands of the new generation that are "leading the way." On the other hand, established and respected groups such as Metallica , Korn , Deftones , Evanescence , Iron Maiden , System of a Down , among others, are headliners for the biggest events.

Paying tribute to Ozzy Osbourne , Live Nation said: “This genre wouldn’t exist without legends. Ozzy Osbourne – the Prince of Darkness – wasn’t just the frontman of Black Sabbath , he changed music forever. His legacy will live on in every riff.”
