Stet Howland, in addition to Metal Church, was also a member of WASP.
Former WASP drummer, and current Metal Church member, Stet Howland, is recovering from an aggressive form of lymphatic cancer.
Howland revealed the good news on his Facebook page, saying that the results from last Friday, the 9th, showed "No cancer detected in my body" . He also said that upon receiving the medical report, "I almost fell over from happiness. It's not enough to say that there were tears of joy here at home."
The drummer began chemotherapy in October 2017. Howland said, “I lost six months of my life and all the hair on my body to a terrible disease that often takes people’s lives. The financial misfortune that comes with it will follow me for a while, but honestly, in my opinion, a huge financial debt cannot be compared to the value of life itself. So, now I owe many hundreds of thousands of dollars, but that’s a gift compared to the other alternative.”
A page was created on the GoFundMe to raise money and help pay off Stet's debt. To date, the campaign has raised almost $18,000 (approximately R$59,000).
Stet was named the permanent drummer for Metal Church in July 2017.
