Two classic heavy metal albums are being re-released in Brazil for the first time in physical format: Overkill 's Taking Over Metal Church 's self-titled debut album .

Both had only received a national vinyl pressing in the 80s, and now they have been released on CD for the first time, with a special slipcase. The releases are a partnership between Wikimetal and OPorto da Música, who will also be re-releasing other classic titles.

Taking Over is the band's second studio album, released in March 1987, and the last with drummer Rat Skates , who left the band at the end of 1987 and was replaced by Sid Falck.

Metal Church's self-titled debut album was originally released in 1984, and due to its success, the band signed a contract with the giant Elektra Records, which re-released it in 1985. A highlight of the album is a cover of Deep Purple's "Highway Star".

The albums are now available for purchase at major retailers and online via Wikimetal Store .
