Megadeth 's grand return to the stage was with The Metal Tour of the Year , a joint tour with Lamb of God and special guests Trivium and Hatebreed , which toured North America between August and October.

Planned for 2020 and postponed due to the pandemic, the tour was a success, selling over 171,000 tickets across 24 dates, with an average of seven thousand paying fans per show, according to a survey by Pollstar . The website believes the title of "metal tour of the year" was well-deserved and the expectations met, a fact confirmed by the musicians involved.

As usual, guitarist Kiko Loureiro released a behind-the-scenes video of this last show of the 2021 tour, with details of the arena where the performance took place, the band's routine, and some images from a privileged vantage point on stage.

"It was a wonderful experience, very different from other tours because of the COVID-19 protocols, but everything went well," the Brazilian celebrated. Watch below.
