The track was recorded during a rehearsal by the trio
In 2014, the trio Nick Menza, James LoMenzo , and Chris Poland briefly decided to join forces for a new project, and during their rehearsals, the musicians played some of their favorite tracks from bands like Megadeth and Led Zeppelin .
Now, a recording of the rehearsal for Megadeth's "Wake Up Dead" from Peace Sells... But Who's Buying? has been released and you can listen to it below. The sessions took place at Menza's studio, Disintegrator Studios, in Studio City, California. After only a few rehearsals, the trio abandoned their plans, and Menza soon invited Poland to join him in OHM .
Nick Menza passed away two years later during an OHM show at the Baket Potato in the same city after suffering from heart failure. The drummer joined Megadeth in 1990 for the album Rust In Peace and became known for being part of the group's "classic and profitable" era.
Poland was featured on Megadeth's first two studio albums, Killing Is My Business… And Business Is Good! (1985) and Peace Sells… But Who's Buying? (1986).
LoMenzo joined the band in 2006 and participated in the albums United Abominations (2007) and Endgame (2009), being fired in 2010 when David Ellefson returned to replace him.
