David Ellefson speaks in an interview

In an interview with the website Rock Song Of The Day, Megadeth bassist David Ellefson spoke about the sound of the band's next album. According to the bassist, Megadeth should bring a different approach.

“Every album brings something different. I think Super Collider was a reunion of everything that Megadeth has in its sound, which is funny because it's our 30th year on the road. But moving forward, there's a desire in the band in general to do something different this time,” says Ellefson.

How a fan letter changed Megadeth's life

To create a new sound, Ellefson says the band must work with different teams than usual: "A new approach means a new location, new sound engineers, producers, and so on."

Recently, Megadeth cancelled their show on the Soundwave tour in Australia due to controversies that blamed the band for Newsted's withdrawal from the dates.
