Megadeth bassist David Ellefson spoke about writing the new album
Megadeth bassist David Ellefson spoke about writing the new album in an interview.
“What we’ve been doing all year with Megadeth is taking all the ideas, recording them, and putting together what we have,” said David. “We’re a riff band – we write riffs – and that’s a big part of what I do.”
He added that Megadeth still doesn't have a release date for the album and that they are working on new ideas. “We basically cleared out the vault from the last albums. With Dystopia , it was a great two-year tour. It was practically a three-year cycle between the album and the tours. We looked at Dystopia and said, 'okay, this seems to be a good benchmark of what the fans like. Of songs that are fun to play.' So, we're not copying Dystopia , but it's a good benchmark for us.”
