Being a rockstar goes beyond great musical talent, stage presence, and a remarkable discography. It's also about using your fame for good.

Megadeth bassist David Ellefson is taking it in stride. The musician will be giving music lessons to children during the quarantine period due to the COVID-19 .

The musician's foundation, the David Ellefson Music Foundation School's Out! project , which references Megadeth's cover of Alice Cooper's song of the same name. The project will offer music lessons and mentoring sessions via Skype for children at home, taught by musicians from legendary rock and heavy metal . Pretty cool, right?

The NGO's mission, says Ellefson, is to keep music studies active in schools, but what to do now that schools are closed? This led to the idea, supported by great music colleagues, of bringing hope, creativity, and of course, music, to children stuck at home during this difficult time for the world.
