Rock in Rio will take place between September and October 2019
After confirming the arrival of Scorpions and Helloween , the newspaper Destak says that Megadeth will also be coming to the next edition of Rock In Rio, in 2019.
The band came to Brazil in 2017 promoting the album Dystopia , released the previous year. According to vocalist and guitarist Dave Mustaine , Megadeth is already working on a new album: “All the band members are at home writing things and centralizing them in one place. Everyone can access each other's ideas. When we're finished, I'll start putting everything together.”
The band's next album will be their first with drummer Dirk Verbeuren , formerly of Soilwork . Verbeuren replaced Chris Adler of Lamb Of God .
The festival will take place on September 27, 28 and 29 and from October 4 to 7, 2019.
There are rumors that Iron Maiden will also be coming to the festival.
