The video released by the Megadeth vocalist is part of a writing session for the new album
Megadeth 's Dave Mustaine shared a short video of drummer Dirk Verbeuren working on new music. The track is expected to be part of the band's 16th album.
In his Twitter post, Mustaine wrote the following: “The Cheshire Cat is smiling! Enjoy a little teaser. #album16”. The sessions are being co-produced by Chris Rakestraw , who previously worked on Dystopia , the 2016 album.
In past interviews, Mustaine was asked if we would see new Megadeth music in 2019. He replied: “Absolutely. For sure. A new album, I’d say the chances are 95%. At least one new song, I’d say 100% chance. No doubt about it.”
Megadeth's next album will be the first with Verbeuren on drums, who joined the band two years ago.
