Megadeth the 20th, in Helsinki, Finland, for the first time since vocalist Dave Mustaine with throat cancer last year.

The performance was their first since October 2018. Megadeth's tour plans were paused in 2019 for two different reasons: the group was scheduled to open for Ozzy Osbourne in North America, but the Prince of Darkness had to cancel all dates after injuring himself at home.

Then in June, Mustaine revealed he was battling throat cancer, forcing him to cancel all tour dates. In October, bassist David Ellefson reported that the vocalist was undergoing intensive treatment with strong and promising prospects for improvement.

Megadeth is returning to the stage as the opening act for Five Finger Death Punch's European tour. During their first show in Finland, the band played an eleven-song set featuring classics such as "Hangar 18," "A Tout Le Monde," "Symphony of Destruction," and "Holy Wars... The Punishment Due."

Currently, the band has no dates scheduled after the tour with FFDP, which will end on February 22nd in Sofia, Bulgaria. Ozzy's shows have been rescheduled for 2020, however Marilyn Manson has already been confirmed as the opening act in place of Megadeth.
