Megadeth , The Sick, The Dying… And The Dead!, this Friday, the 22nd . The new song is “Night Stalker,” a collaboration with Ice-T from Body Count , the album's only special guest.
At over six minutes long, the track is intense and narrates the deadly threat of a war squad prepared to act during the darkness of night. "Your death awaits in the darkness / And it stalks the night," says the chorus.
The single “Night Stalkers” is the second song from Megadeth's new album to be released, following “We'll Be Back” , which received a cinematic music video , part of a trilogy to be released to accompany the album.
Megadeth: Tracklist for the new album
Megadeth's new album, titled The Sick, The Dying… And The Dead!, had its cover art and full tracklist revealed with the release of the first single. There will be 12 tracks in total, with "Night Stalkers" among the first three, while "We'll Be Back" closes the album.
With a release date announced for September 2, 2022, the Megadeth album has been in the works for many years and had to be interrupted twice – the first time in 2019 due to Dave Mustaine being diagnosed throat cancer , and the second time more recently with the hasty replacement of bassist David Ellefson .
