While the album is scheduled for release on July 8th, Dave Mustaine commented in a recent interview with Eddie Trunk that a new single called "Killing Time" could be released "at any moment."

“We know the album is scheduled for July 8th and we hope to keep to that deadline,” commented the Megadeth founder. “I also know we have a single that will be sent to radio stations any minute now. It’s a song called ‘Killing Time’.”

Mustaine also gave more details about the song's theme and clarified some points before its release. “Obviously, [the song] is about someone from my past, but it’s not as obvious as it seems. It’s about wasting your time, not about the time to kill things. It has to do with some situations that me and the guys in the band got involved in over time. I’m sure a lot of people will relate,” he commented.
