In an interview, Dirk Verbeuren spoke about the future of Megadeth
Dirk Verbeuren , drummer for Megadeth , confirmed that a new album from the band may be released in 2019. The interview was conducted by the Music Mania .
“The immediate priority is obviously working on the new album,” Verbeuren stated. “We already have a lot of ideas coming and going. I’ll be working with Dave [ Mustaine , the band’s vocalist] as soon as he gets back from Indonesia.”
Regarding the release, Dirk commented, “I don’t know exactly when it will be. As soon as we feel we have good material, we will record. It’s reasonable to expect a new album in 2019 if everything goes according to plan and if we’re happy with what we have.”
After the release, the band is expected to enter a phase of concerts and tours. "That's how it has to be done," Verbeuren confirmed.
Megadeth will be going on a cruise, called Megacruise, which will depart from Los Angeles on October 13, 2019. The band's last album, Dystopia , was released in 2016.
