Following rumors , Megadeth confirmed last Monday, the 13th, that former guitarist Marty Friedman will be the special guest at the show taking place in Tokyo on February 27th.
In a post on the band's social media, Dave Mustaine wrote: “Marty and I have remained friends for over 23 years, since the last time we played together. However, I listen to his music every night, and he is still among the best guitarists I have ever heard. This is an incredible treat for the fans, as well as for me. To be honest, I can drift off while listening to Kiko and Marty play together!”
Friedman, who not only lives in Japan but also has a successful solo career, was a member of the group between the 1990s and 2000s. This current reunion is the first in 23 years.
The performance, titled "They Only Come Out At Night," will be streamed live globally, and tickets are already on sale at the Dreamstage . In addition to the performance, fans will have access to footage from the trip to the country and behind-the-scenes footage. The livestream will be available for 48 hours, starting at 6:00 AM Brasília time.
