Megadeth releases “Let There Be Shred”, the third single from their farewell album.

The new self-titled album will be released on January 23, 2026.

Megadeth released their new single and music video, "Let There Be Shred," this Friday, the 19th. This is the third track from their upcoming farewell album , simply titled Megadeth . The release is scheduled for January 23, 2026, through Tradecraft , owned by vocalist Dave Mustaine.

In addition to the 10 tracks, Dave Mustaine reported that the band recorded three additional songs as bonus tracks. Interestingly, one of them is a cover of Metallica's "Ride The Lightning ." The guitarist and vocalist also announced the release of his new memoir, details of which will be revealed in the coming months.

The band also recently announced the documentary Megadeth: Behind The Mask  , with a worldwide theatrical release on January 22, 2026, shortly before the release of their latest studio album. In Brazil, fans can already purchase tickets in advance directly from the official Cinemark and UCI Cinemas

Megadeth has confirmed a single performance in Brazil on May 2, 2026, at Espaço Unimed in São Paulo, as part of their  Farewell Tour . Tickets are already sold out.
