, Megadeth members David Ellefson and Jeff Young reunited during a recording session for a documentary about the life of the late drummer Nick Menza .
Ellefson and Young were interviewed for roles in the film This Was My Life: The Story Of Nick Menza , which Ellefson also co-produced. In October, Menza's family defended the bassist's continued participation in the production , despite the controversy surrounding the musician and an extramarital affair he maintained virtually with a young woman .
"To be clear, certain actions of others do not interfere with our decisions. There are always two sides to every story. We don't know the facts and we don't pretend to know the truth," the family stated.
On his Facebook , David Ellefson expressed his happiness at reuniting with Jeff Young, as well as with "several other friends" and the Megadeth crew.
“It was great to see Jeff Young this week while we were recording interviews for the Nick Menza documentary, as well as many other friends, staff and crew from Mega over the years who willingly joined in to share stories and fond memories of our beloved Nick,” wrote the bassist.
