Megadeth confirms Chris Adler from Lamb Of God for new album

Adler is a guest on the album

Megadeth posted a statement on their official Facebook page confirming rumors that Chris Adler is the drummer for the band's upcoming album. The announcement, however, doesn't go so far as to say Adler is a new member of Megadeth, referring to him instead as a "guest.".

Here are some excerpts from the statement:

“Adler will participate as a guest on the album, contributing his strong and technically precise drumming, with style and talent, adding fresh blood to the sound, but maintaining the roots of Megadeth.”

Dave Mustaine comments: “Chris is a tremendous talent, and an incredible person. He’s going to bring a new level of excitement and energy to Megadeth that fans are going to lose their minds over. I have a lot of respect for all my former drummers, but this is going to be killer!”

David Ellefson: Chris has been a great friend of Megadeth for many years and he greatly admires our music and our legacy. His playing style has created an innovative and fierce path for Metal and I am very proud that he is working with us on this new album

Chris Adler also says: “Megadeth was a game-changer for me. Growing up, there wasn’t another band that meant more to my musical interests and direction. There’s no doubt I wouldn’t be doing what I’m doing if I hadn’t heard ‘Killing Is My Business’ and the metal bible, ‘Peace Sells’.”
