Megadeth 's sixteenth studio album are getting higher and higher, and fans may not have to wait much longer to hear at least one new song.
That's because last Monday, the 20th, the band launched a mysterious website with the name of the new album – The Sick, The Dying… And The Dead . Upon entering the site, it's possible to hear a short, unreleased guitar riff before the page redirects and asks for registration with name and email.
The conceptual message reads: “The sick, the dying, and the dead are among us. Protect yourself from Vic Rattlehead before it’s too late.” Those who register will likely receive updates and notifications in their email inbox.
In addition to the mysterious website, Megadeth recently posted a photo in which the numbers 6:23 can be seen projected on the wall, which has raised speculation about a possible new song release on June 23rd.
The Sick, The Dying… And The Dead David Ellefson 's departure in May, amidst controversies involving the bassist's extramarital affairs with a young woman who was allegedly underage when the interactions began.
The album was expected between June and July due to speculation from Dave Mustaine , but the vocalist apparently announced informally that the release will happen in September.
