Megadeth cancels show in San Salvador after two songs

Severe storm caused cancellation

Megadeth was forced to cancel their show in San Salvador shortly after the performance began on the 26th. The band had already played Hangar 18 and The Threat Is Real before having to interrupt the show due to a storm.

The show was canceled due to safety concerns related to the heavy rain. After the cancellation, Dave Mustaine posted several messages to fans on social media: “San Salvador, thank you for coming! I’m sorry the storm came and we only managed to play two songs. I guess we’ll have to make up for that show too!”

Later: “To the fans who refuse to accept that the show was canceled. Our equipment is soaked, we’re finished. If you continue to insult me, I will mute you .” And then: “I’m more concerned if the fans are okay. A huge metal structure in a vast field during a lightning storm isn’t smart!”

Last week Megadeth cancelled their show in Paraguay after five songs, also due to security concerns. Specifically, the security barricades in front of the stage were broken and several fans were injured.
