Megadeth has announced the launch of its own cryptocurrency, named $MEGA . According to the band, by purchasing or transacting with $MEGA, fans will have access to exclusive and premium benefits.
The launch allows members of the Cyber Army , Megadeth's official fan club, to invest in $MEGA and receive special offers such as meet-and-greets with band members. For more information about the cryptocurrency, visit Megadeth's official website.
The release follows another digital initiative by Megadeth. In April, they released their first NFT (non-fungible token), which sold for US$18,000, approximately R$100,000 at the current exchange rate. Subsequently, the band released a new series of NFTs based on artwork from the last 20 years of the Cyber Army.
