Four decades after its release, Killing Is My Business… and Business Is Good!, 's debut album , continues to resonate with unwavering force.

To celebrate this historic milestone, the thrash metal band joined forces with Half Sumo , a Brooklyn-based art collective known for its fusion of combat sports and rebellious streetwear. The result is a collection of fight wear and streetwear that promises to be a collector's item for the most dedicated fans.

The partnership is a testament to the shared discipline and artistic aggression that drives both worlds. Dave Mustaine , frontman of Megadeth, is a longtime martial artist, holding not only black belts in Taekwondo and Ukidokan Karate, but also a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Mustaine's personal connection to martial arts makes the collaboration with Half Sumo deeply authentic and meaningful.

Megadeth x Half Sumo collection reimagines the album's iconography through the lens of samurai culture, urban warfare, and underground resistance. For the first time, Megadeth's mascot, Vic Rattlehead , will be featured on a full line of premium fight wear, including custom-designed fighting apparel.

The Megadeth x Half Sumo partnership

Mustaine expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration:

“Seeing the raw energy of our first album translated into equipment made for the tatami is an exciting moment. Half Sumo perfectly honored the spirit of ' Killing Is My Business… '”

Half Sumo founders, Luigi Scarcella Perino and Alberto Marchetti , echoed the sentiment:

“Megadeth’s debut was a declaration of war against the status quo . It was technically brilliant, aggressively unapologetic, and set a new standard for heavy music. That’s the same energy we inject into our equipment – the underdog spirit fighting a bigger battle. This collection is for them.”

The Megadeth x Half Sumo capsule collection , Killing Is My Business… And Business Is Good!, will be released in four highly limited collections through the HalfSumo.com . The first collection, The Streets , is already available, featuring streetwear items such as t-shirts with the “Katana Vic” and the “Rattlehead Ronin,” as well as hoodies and sweatpants.

The upcoming collections, The Mats (July 2025), The Dojo (August 2025), and The Arsenal (September 2025), will feature high-performance combat equipment, the “Chosen Ones” kimono, and unique accessories, respectively.

Each item in this collection is a collector's item, individually numbered and with no plans to restock. Surprise releases of unannounced items may occur; therefore, to receive immediate alerts about each release, fans should subscribe to the official email list on the Halfsumo website and follow the brand on Instagram.
