Maynard James Keenan put an end to the rumors about the new release
Tool vocalist Maynard James Keenan has put an end to rumors that the new album will be released in April. Asked by a fan on Twitter if the information was true, Maynard simply replied: "no".
The comment came after the band's drummer, Danny Carey , told a fan that the plan was to release it by April.
Carey had previously made other predictions about the band's fifth album. In 2017, he said the album would be released in 2018. Tool officially entered the studio in March of last year to begin recording. Keenan recently tweeted that he finished recording the vocals months ago.
