Daemon will not be a sequel to Esoteric Warfare.
Mayhem has announced their new album , Daemon , scheduled for release in October.
According to the band, the album will not be a direct continuation of Esoteric Warfare . Daemon stands on its own.
“Mayhem will always be Mayhem,” said guitarist Teloch . “We’ve put the genre aside a bit; nobody else sounds like Mayhem. It’s difficult to put a label on the band. Metal would be the most accurate. It’s not pure black metal, in my opinion.”
