Max Kolesne , drummer for the band Krisiun , posted a message of support for the Chilean people on social media.

Chile is experiencing a series of protests very similar to those in Brazil in 2013. Both began as protests against increases in public transportation fares and later expanded to include other demands such as improved healthcare and education.

The protests became less peaceful when groups burned power towers and subway cars. President Sebastián Piñera then declared a curfew and deployed the army to the streets, something that hadn't happened since the Pinochet .

Check out Max's full statement of support below:

"My support goes out to my Chilean brothers and sisters; you are true warriors.".

Unfortunately, here in Brazil, we also live under the shadow of corrupt, greedy, ignorant, racist, and fascist politicians. They are criminals, liars, murderers. Bloodsuckers who live off abusing and exploiting human beings, workers, the poor, families, the elderly, and retirees…

These politicians don't care about social justice, education, inclusion, equality, equal rights, fair income distribution…

They respect nothing…

They want to take away all people's rights to education and a life with a minimum of dignity.

They serve only the RICH and their own interests.

When people protest for their rights, they hide behind their military death squads…

Politicians are cowards, criminals of the worst kind.

I hope for the best and wish that we can soon remove these sons of bitches from 'power'.

Go Chile!

Long live Brazil!

"Long live South America!"
