See Max's response.

In an interview with a Canadian radio station, the Cavalera brothers responded to comments Jonathan Davis recently made about Sepultura's album "Roots." The Korn frontman had said that "Sepultura's 'Roots' was a blatant copy of Korn .

Igor began by responding, saying: “I don’t see it that way. I think that especially Korn’s sound, in my opinion, with the bass, is awful (…) I don’t know why he would be angry because there’s no similarity.”

Max said: “Korn wasn’t the only reason we wanted to work with Ross [Robinson, producer] . He had done a Fear Factory demo that I liked and it had a very raw sound. And he had done a Deftones song on the “Adrenaline” album that I really liked.”

Saying that is like saying Sepultura should be mad at Cannibal Corpse for using producer Scott Burns. I'm not mad at Cannibal Corpse, I think they're great. Just because we were one of the first to use Scott Burns, are we going to be mad at other bands that used Scott Burns? That's childish. He's just being childish. And I couldn't care less about Korn or anyone else.

We were very different from Korn. We had our own way of playing and the songs were different. Everything is different. It's just the same guy who recorded both albums. That's the only similarity.”
