In an interview with PopCultureMadness.com, Max and Igor Cavalera talked about the Return To Roots tour, where they perform the album "Roots" in its entirety. Check out Max Cavalera's statement:
"It's great. I love playing these songs and I love playing with Igor. It's fantastic, really. Now it's better than when it was released. There's less pressure because the album is a classic today. It's more fun to play these songs, people know them. It's in their DNA. It's a lot of fun.".
Max also spoke about the personal connection he has with the album:
“It’s cool because it’s an album that, over time, has shown that it wasn’t just a fad. It showed that the songs remain relevant over the years. For us, that’s one of the most important things. It’s an album I would listen to at home. Twenty years later you can still put the album on and think, ‘Yeah, awesome!’ That feeling doesn’t go away. And playing these songs live is similar to that. It’s like, once you get on stage, the energy comes and I remember when we recorded the album.”.
