Max and Iggor Cavalera revisited classic Sepultura albums, re-recording versions of Morbid Vision and Bestial Devastation , and finally, at the beginning of this year, releasing Schizophrenia , completing a trilogy from Sepultura .

When asked about re-recording other classic albums from his former band, in an interview with overdrive.ie , Max Cavalera commented (via Blabbermouth ) : “Fans have asked us this, and there are two sides to the argument. Some people say we should do the others, but I think it’s fine as it is. I think these three really needed it, because they were made in Brazil.”

“Once [producer] Scott Burns got involved — I have no problem with the sound of Beneath The Remains . I think it sounds great. It has that characteristic Scott Burns sound, which is a hallmark of the death metal sound of that era. And I wouldn't dare touch Chaos AD and Roots .”

Max added: “We kind of know our limits, which is good. Some bands don’t—some people don’t; they just keep going. I think we’ll play live, though. I’d love to see a Chaos AD CAVALERA project ]… That’s totally on the table. That’s on the table.”

Roots and Chaos AD were the most successful albums in Sepultura's history, both earning gold certifications in the US for sales exceeding half a million copies.
